Photo Restoration ~ Prices
Damage to photographs comes in all shapes and sizes.  I use the following three
categories to determine pricing for restoration work.  If you're unsure which
category describes your photo, send me the original (well packed!), and I will
assess it and give you a firm price quotation.

All Prices Include:       * Scanning the Original

                                   * Performing the Repairs

                                   * Making One Archival 8x10" Print
(or Two 5x7" Prints, Your Choice)

                                   * Returning the Original and Prints to You

Level 1: Good Shape ~$30

This applies to basically sound photographs.  At this level, I will correct minor
fading and color shifts, set contrast and darkness to pleasing levels, fix a localized
"glitch" or two in the background or other non-critical area of the photo, and make
the archival copy prints described above.

Level 2: Medium Damage ~ $50

Several (2 or 3) rips, folds, abrasions, etc.  Visible texture in the original, which is
to be removed.  Multiple dust specks, etc.  Converting a color original to black-and-
white or sepia tone.  One localized damage to a key facial area.  Price includes
the archival copy prints described above.

Level 3: Severe Damage ~ $100

Multiple rips, folds, abrasions.  Missing sections.  Severe damage to facial areas,
or other key areas of image.  Severe texture in original.  Moving people from one
picture to another.  "Painting in" parts of people's heads, etc.  (Yes, I've done it!)
The restoration shown on the
Restoration Home page would fall into this category.
Price includes the archival copy prints described above.
